Who

What

upon death to heaven and bad men to “the other place” is
founded on the Hellenic doctrine that man has an immortal soul, which
cannot by definition be subject to death. In biblical terms, however—and
Scripture on this point is quite consistent from Genesis to Revelation—human
beings are not immortal by nature. Indeed, the term “soul”
